    Good suggestion, maybe we could work out a simple script for these rather than making them by hand for each quest.

    I agree with OP, more gold or up consumable drops or make the merchants pay more than one gold piece for things found. Gold accumulation is problematic. The only time I've had much surplus recently was after an intense period of events. It got spent on potions to replace what was used and to go on quests and a couple of magic bags for quality of life. Those potions did not last long.

    Before that one short period my character was skint and now, my character is skint (less so today admittedly, because he died and got to redo a load of 4-6 quests). I don't always have time or inclination to do the squire courier quest every reset.

    The quests (especially 7-10) can bleed you dry if you fight close quarters without a good Wizard buffing you. Granted one or two have got potion drops at the end, which helps. But it's seems very rare for to come away with a profit. That is often the point where backwards leveling begins for my characters.

    Yes, like Bowser said, money can be earned from other sources, but with a small player base not many people want to buy surplus loot from you, because half of them were there when you found it. Money in form of payment for services is nice, but again rarely lasts long. For example, the money Grell was paid to collect things during an event, bought him two potions to go on the event, which were consumed in the first five minutes.

    Tl;dr: Events, sometimes break even, occasional profit. Quests, rarely break even, unfortunately often not worth it after level 7 (with certain exceptions).

    In regards of rangers, they are fine. We're making more animals available for taming as well, such as Bisons and Buffalos which were added just a few days ago.

    It was shooting me even after I fell back and drank a pot of invis. I don't believe it was buffed with see invis, since NPCs usually don't think to do that.

    I agree with Hellz, there are loads of nice throwing axes, but the weight is very prohibitive.

    Grell was given some bone throwing axes recently that only weighed 20%, it made a massive difference and they're a nice alternative to having to only use bow or sling as a ranged weapon. Would suggest that metal ones weigh only a bit more, maybe 30-40%.

    With regard to the rest of the loot; it is very situational and/or restrictive. Some is awesome, like spears or the Sandstorm axe, but there's a lot of OUB:class/alignment/race that just gets dumped (I've tried UMDing, even with SF and cha buffed, it's still unusable), however this seems to be a theme across a lot of quests I've done recently. That goes for both armour and weapons.

    Summoning duration is being addressed as are the perks for SF and GSF. As I understand it, part of the system from v5 was imported to address some issues we were having. Some of the customization did not transfer.

    Stay tuned. I think you will like what we are thinking.

    Having talked o Mortui on Discord, it appears healing supplies besides potions haven't been added to the higher level quests. Such as healing wands, kits and scrolls. Lower level quests seem ok!

    Consumables are supposed to be rare/expensive so they are a “holy shit button” @Chips :trade_mark: intending to deal with major obstacles. They can make the general stuff easier but the trade off is gp for easier xp.

    Fighters will be getting kits (same with Barbs and Monks) as a priority to help offset current deficiency and add some thematic flavour.

    PC crafting is being worked on and will be implemented as soon as we can to allow for slightly lower cost consumables

    Potions and wands are being made and added to stores with price tweaking as we go to find the sweet spot between cost, availability and need. We are trying to move away from the required potion chug before every quest.

    Quests are constantly being tweaked regarding loot provides, gold given and overall challenge.

    That’s how we are going to make things balanced. Not adding stuff to fix a problem that is only a problem because other things are not in place.

    I am not in favour of healing not breaking expertise. As Apple said it will just become “the proper way to play a fighter/tank” instead of a possible choice. Having that as a kit feature would be plenty cool though.

    In short we know there is still a lot of work to be done so thanks for the continued patience.

    I agree, i think healing should break expertise.

    Oh that was just brainstorming possibilities, if a specific Bless Weapon alteration is possible! Like how the flame weapon alterations change the damage type, whereas bless weapon token might change it from damage vs undead to damage vs something else. Since the set is specifically designed vs reptiles, and does have paladin spell slots. :) If something like that is possible it could open the doors to other new thematic toys for other racial slaying.

    Eventually there will be a gladiator system that will roughly generate loot/creature with a challenge rating between 1-4, and you win a piece of loot appropriate for the challenge/level of the encounter.

    1-4 = weak gladiator battle.
    5-8 = medium gladiator battle
    9-13= difficult battle.

    The player would deposit an amount of gold (non-refundable) and would say 'start' and whatever. details pending.

    As for the True Sun Tournaments- they are done by me, for the explicit purpose for my enjoyment. No one needs to participate if they don't want to.

    Would enemies not dropping loot and having chests not be an easier way? This is only a really a problem in DM events.
