I am guessing this belongs in Suggestions: Imbuing System.
It takes a feat investment to imbue things, yet imbuing eats xp if you do it often, more so with wands. This puts a drain on advancements to the point I dislike selling wands, and have stopped imbuing potions due to it being cheaper with my skill investment.

I understand not wanting to flood the server with magical items, but making someone burn a feat choice and then putting them on a treadmill for xp just seems... excessive when alchemy is not only cheaper and costs no xp, but actually gains you some xp for doing.

Note that the story of the quest is that a Sembian researcher hired a bunch of mercs who turned out to be bandits to dig around a tomb. There is a very good reason it is an elf who is the final boss ;)

Progress is being made on this.

At least, soon, you should be able to get to the areas north, south, east, and west of the city (PAST the outskirts areas) without bumping into the edge of civilisation.

There'll be more to do, like allowing you to reach the stormhorns without passing through eveningstar for instance, but this should be a good start to allowing exiles to move around the server without running into blue NPCs and therefore needing a DM just to travel.

Make a separate suggestion for additional storage and locations etc for discussion. Within limits I’m in favour of it either as a perk or available to rent.

    Cheers.

That robe is... not great for "fighty wizards." Being silenced and being slowed is a death sentence.

    Here's an alternative:

    Name: The Iron Serpent
    Item: Quarterstaff
    What does it do?
Weapon Focus (Quarterstaff), Weapon Specialization (Quarterstaff), +2 Discipline
Only usable by sorcerer/wizard (must have more sorcerer/wizard levels than levels in other classes combined)
Flavor: This rune-engraved quarterstaff is made entirely of iron and features a coiled serpent on each end. It is a crude, unwieldy weapon, but when held by a sorcerer or wizard allows them to channel the Weave through its runes to make it lighter to swing and heavier on impact. No one knows exactly where they're from, but speculation varies from an ancient order of elven warmages to a hidden monastery in Shou Lung where ascetics attain mastery over their bodies and the Weave alike.

Do this for several other more uncommon, less "meta" simple weapons as well (such as spears).

Scribing scrolls via the "Crafting System" does not require the feat, but the selection is limited. If you want full access to scribing scrolls you need the feat.

@Zool said in skinning without equipping the skinning dagger:

Yep, and those reasons mean you can't do the skinning thing.

Syrus and I had been talking about this this morning, and in the past I've tried to get more adamantium to make a suit of armor out of it. I gave up after 3 and a half weeks and getting my official clergy equipment-- the rarity of the material (every nugget I got was from treasure chests) and the worthiness of it wasn't even a consideration after 2 weeks.

I understand not wanting to make +1 armor craftable, but if you were willing to take into account the rarity of the material, give it +1 AC, give it a nice little 10-15% DI vs all physical damage types and push the crafting skill up to 12 or even 14, I think it'd balance out nicely.

It'd /feel/ and /be/ an item of prestige to both the maker and wearer.
