I'm in the same boat.
The player really needs to show they can stick to a character. It's hard to take the app seriously as I also feel like they will drop the concept at the first hurdle.

I don't see why not.
Only thing I would challenge is:
@Primordial said in Latok/Elf-WhiteDragonTouched/Ranger/Creation:
Part of my app is for the ability to mostly control his appearance to look more like an extremely pale elf
I can understand that a tail and all that junk might make it challenging to begin with. I would like to see a claus put in where as he works towards his goals his dragonblood lineage awakens and physically morphs his appearance?? Something like that avoids the 'all the perks, none of the drawbacks' scenario.
Rumors are swirling among the residents of Bospir about eerie happenings in the nearby forests. Several villagers have reported hearing heart-wrenching sobbing emanating from the trees, accompanied by sightings of a shadowy figure dragging in their latest hunt. Blood-stained paw prints litter the ground, and tufts of fur cling to the bark, hinting at a gruesome struggle. The Mayor has issued a stern warning, advising everyone to avoid the northeastern woods, "just in case." The unsettling reports have left the community on edge, fearing what might be lurking in the shadows.
@Puffy I'm sure they will turn their attention to them next. In fact, I would assign it to them at the ceremony when they become a Pallid Mask
Works for me!
If everyone is in agreement to what Puffy has said. Please vote Yes. Or if you have other compromises please note them as well.
Many thanks
The player Cojak81 (Xavier) has expressed and interest for his character to become a companion of the Pallid Mask within the HoA organisation.
Xavier has been taking actions to pursue this IG (most of which are details on his plot ticket). Most recently they have been leading the hunt for the Mistress of the Night.
I would like to offer him a place within the Pallid Mask should his actions during this bounty 'final' fall in line with someone from the group.
Namely. I would expect him to destroy the unsanctified undead but bring the Mistress, a necromancer, in to the HoA headquarters alive for questioning, re-education, whatever the HoA deems most appropriate.
What would the reward look like:
Being able to say they belong to the companions of the Pallid mask.
Rewarded with Full plate, a cloak and a helmet with the appropriate themed stats on them.
Potentially being sanctified by the Church to raise undead?
Very nice. Good work Puffmaster
Not a bad shout, both the 'concepts' could be applied to standard PCs.
If this -is- a new player. Perhaps we could offer a bit of help with the app?
I'm wondering if this person and That1Loser have come over to explore the server a bit together?
Again, the app just needs fleshing out a little bit with 'why a Earth Genasi' and a couple of ideas on how they will bring something to the server.
I don't mind the tongue and cheek app, or them being a bit of a comic relief character.
I think the section on 'how will you make the server more fun' is a bit weak as to me it just kind of reads as 'Ill be a necromancer and hopefully get an evil plot placed on me.' I'm all up for evil characters to people to chase but I would like to see that section fleshed out with a little bit more detail.

The Voice Widget no longer allows you to speak through NPC's. It will still create a 'Stationary voice' however when you attempt to talk through it using the colon command ':' it gives the error shown in the screen shot. The same thing happens when you try and use the colon to talk through NPC's as well.
Under a sky painted in crimson hues, the militia of Arabel gathered for the sombre task of executing the infected Wererat. Yet, before the first blow could fall, chaos descended upon the Kings Plaza like a tempest. A gang of criminals, driven by desperation or madness, launched a daring assault, plunging the square into a maelstrom of violence. Despite the valiant resistance of the mushroom-infected assailants, their defiance was ultimately quelled by the overwhelming numbers of the militia and the steadfast resolve of Arabel's citizens. What began as a single execution soon turned into a grim procession of four. Whispers of dread and despair spread through the streets, tales of bodies erupting into spores that infected the unwary and haunted the dreams of the brave. And yet, amid the darkness that threatened to engulf them, the heart of Arabel remained unyielding, a bastion of resilience and hope in the face of adversity. Though the night may have been tainted by blood and sorrow, the spirit of the city endured, a beacon of light shining defiantly against the shadows...
The rumours of an ethereal, dark-clad lady visiting gravesites in the dead of night have stirred quite the intrigue and speculation among the locals. Some suggest she may simply be mourning the departed, paying her respects under the veil of darkness. Others, however, entertain the notion that she is a restless spirit, perhaps with unfinished business or a desire to continue her life's work beyond the grave.
Of course, there are always sceptics who dismiss such tales as the products of overactive imaginations or the hallucinations of inebriated individuals stumbling near the graveyard. Yet, cautionary whispers still circulate among those who reside in the vicinity of the burial grounds, advising them to keep a watchful eye and remain vigilant in the dead of night.
A mysterious figure, distinguished by his snowy white hair and peculiar attire, frequents Arabel's library on a regular basis. Often observed perusing a towering stack of history books, he delves into the depths of the tomes. After sating his thirst for knowledge, he quietly retreats to the east, vanishing into the shadowy embrace of the Hullack forest, leaving behind whispers of curiosity and intrigue in his wake.
Sure. I've put up the new version. This can be closed
I dont know what the protocol is but Sarevok has taken on the feedback and want to re-submit with revisions.
I'll feed it back to them. I feel like there is potentially something good there. But it needs a re-work.
2: Applying for Tiefling
1. Tiefling/ Fighter/ LE/ Vortiger
(Minimal outward indicators, no reflection and hot to the touch, otherwise could pass for a human if careful.)
3. Goals:
Vortiger believes himself derived from a distinguished infernal lineage and has all the innate rights of his human counterparts to rule. However, as a realist, he knows he cannot leverage this claim transparently for power.
He recognises that to fulfill his ambitions he must align himself with a legitimised noble house. This might involve serving a blueblood figure like Corianne von Dorn in the first instance.
Vortigers aim is to undermine his chosen noble pa/matriarch so as they are a puppet front through which he can realise his birthright.
He will push shadow deals, intrigue, politicking, all perilously balanced on the revelation of his heritage and intentions.
Vortiger seeks to honour the memory of the fallen Duke and his forces by preserving their relics within the temple of Siamorphe, recognising their valour and nobility in the war.
This will require expeditions to Tilverton and the creation of new library records that portray Tilverton in a more positive light. Operating under the belief that history is often shaped by those who emerge victorious, he aims to restore some dignity to the fallen faith.
These are stepping stones towards Vortiger's ultimate ambition:
To liberate Arabel from the grasp of the Queen's court, weakening her authority and establishing a Court of Nobles to preside over Arabel.
5. Bio:
Vortiger, a devout follower of Siamorphe raised in Arabel, believes in the supremacy of the strong and the power in lineage
Witnessing the chaos of Gondegal and the destruction of Eveningstar and Tilverton, he deems Arabel weak under a foolish monarchy.
After surviving the war against Tilverton and sensing a stirring in his blood, he returns to Arabel, driven by a sense of purpose to seek out a destiny he does not yet comprehend, but knowing that the weak need a strong noble ruler, one worthy of claiming the throne left vacant by the fallen Duke.
Can we call this approved?
In Summary:
Yes please Puffy, that would be great. Again if its a work in progress it'll give the three lathanderites a background objective to restore.
Small shrine (large enough room for people to gather and rp though)
Free rest
5 (or 10 item storage)
NPC sponsor
Lathander store
This would be great.
