So everything went fine until the druid hits you with MULTIPLE 20+ lights which is devastation to low levels, dispels magic and has tough friends.

Grante were we lowl level fighter mages but she totaled our elemental protections and just spammed lighting for 20+ a hit and an AoE at that WAY op for a 4-6

@CrazyZleric I have never seen this quest done by a group so something is very off with how it scales. I am off line for a few more days mostly but will look at it as soon as I am back.

In the future, there are two simple rules to remember:

        NO SPITTING.

        DO NOT CROSS MISTER MOLOCH.

I get it, the OP part was the druid at the end doing a lighting AoE for 11-22 damage on a pair of fighter mages and being able to spam it while his tow animals. were trying to out head. Which didn't work. We were about level 4

@Mr-Moloch Sidenote: It's assumed the boss was using call lightning. It was raining, and call lighting does more damage during rainfall.

Scott Keellip - White Knight, killed by Drow
Sir William the Fearless - Fearless! and nice.
Vardix - Black Dragon cultist. Also killed by Drow.
Nihlos Carver - Fear the Reaper
Argun The Dawnhammer - Strongman of Lathander

@Mr-Moloch Chatting with CrazyZleric at the time they noted the name was [hierophant of the sickly oak] (or name close to it) if that helps narrow down the examination of the spawn.

              Current character(s): TBD

is it possible it is grabbing the boss from East Way Village quest, instead of the one meant for Silence of the Lambs? Because that's the name of the end boss there... (or very close to that, Hierophant of the Sickly Oak)

                Current PC: Harlan Isangard

@TheMinionOfArabel That is exactly what they are describing. It's an easy fix once I have time.

The NPC boss for this quest (Silence of the Lambs) is named: Rotting Jake. This is set up correctly. You are not doing the quest you think you're doing or something is going very, very wrong.
The quest I am reviewing that is Silence of the Lamps is:

                    Silence of the Lambs (4-6)
                    Party Size: 1-10
Quest Giver: Hogart Rancher, located in Bospir

The SOH (Sickly Oak Hierophant) spawns on this quest:

East Way Village (4-10) MInor Updates 2025
                    Partysize: 1-10
Quest Giver: "East Way Village, East Way, Masoner's Bridge

However, the boss here SOH can only cast Call Lightning once and can Lesser Dispel Magic once.

There does not seem to be a duplicatable bug here - maybe I can get more clear information. The boss in question is CR 6, which should be between an average and hard challenge to a single level 4 PC, and most that CR simply comes from having been given high HP as a boss fight. Honestly, its more a CR 5 challenge if you didn't count the HP.

Is there clearer information that can help here?

@Mr-Moloch okay I got the quest name wrong.. it's the east way village and the sickly oak druid, he just sat there and spammed lighting on us, admittly we were mage balds but at the current quest level 11-22 damage a AoE hit is pretty lethal

@CrazyZleric He can only cast the spell once. Its possible you got some strange lag burst that caused this, but I'll try to duplicate it with a test PC and see if can reproduce any bug. In my original testing of the quest, he's never cast it more than once.

@Mr-Moloch I should have saved combat logs, I had another player with me who can confirm he did it 4 or so times

@CrazyZleric I believe you; its possible during lag sometimes that an NPC doesn't deprecate a spell use - not common by any means, but it could have been that.

                              As requested by @ShadowRealm :

                              Area: East Way
                              Quest: Fury of the Druid
                              NPC (Boss): Sickly Oak Hierophant
Issue: Boss casted Nature's Wrath more at least 8 times

Im going to submit photos of the combat log where you can see each time he cast the spell (dont know if that would help though)

@SirWill360 This is a known issue with no known cause. Sometimes, enemies will use rage or cast a spell far more than they can. I've yet to figure out the cause of the problem, the NPC has a single casting of the spell.

I've removed the offending spell since I can't figure out why he was spamming it.
