The rat theme, which is earn in game compared to the default is noticeably weaker at level one (I honestly don't have the other levels).

    ~3 dmg a round vs 1 dmg a round
    20 HP vs 10 HP
    14 AC vs 13 AC

Here's my suggestion, up rat Dex to 20, give it weapon finesse if it doesn't have it. Leave it otherwise alone, but when you summon the level 1 rat, give the player a random number of rats 1-3 to give it that Pied Piper feel.

Maybe the rat gives disease on hit? But that's also not very helpful in NWN combat.

Three rats would do about the same as one badger since flanking would help their AB, the HP is now about the same, the dmg would come out a little less over time. But its at least closer to the same power level.

In the future, there are two simple rules to remember:

    NO SPITTING.

    DO NOT CROSS MISTER MOLOCH.

it's not "earned" it's freely available and anyone can use it (as opposed to stuff like shadows/demons/celestial which are either earned or applied for or otherwise limited by alignment/class, etc)

      however,

      pretty sure they do

will consider the suggestions though :)

Making it spawn three rats would be cool, but sadly, a complete budgerigar to handle script wise, as we track numbers of summons to test them against summoning perks (like feats) and this would cause an edge case exception which would be horrible to try and maintain.

Yeah, right after I made the suggestion, I thought of the obvious exploit in the code as its probably written. But there's a few work arounds I could imagine, unless the code is (and it probably is) drastically different than it use to be.

tbh the badger is dumb op for a level 1 summons, but i adjusted to rat to be less weak

              it does on bite:

              Monster Damage 1d4 Damage
On Hit: Disease DC=14 Filth Fever
