Our server is very dark. Which is cool. But, light sources are in short supply. In earlier versions, we had stones you could buy (Kanthea's shop?!) which would allow you to add colored lights to an item of choice.

Is that something we could return to our server?

There is already a way to put light permanently on wearable objects, have a chat with some magic users in game.

Yep. Just cast a certain third circle spell!

But that does not change the color. Its only white. What happened to cool red, blue, green colors?

If the team thinks its needed the spell can be adjusted to use more than just white.

@Strife-and-Discord Modify the spell so it opens a convo menu that applies the light property via script?

                    GetTarget
                    ApplyEffectToObject(eLight)

Conversation is too cumbersome. Plenty of other ways to do it: Add variable to that item shown by @Echo to dictate its color, have items that if you cast the light spell through them(On them) it eats the item like reagent and modify the color, etc.

@Strife-and-Discord This is how it used to be. You would cast the spell and use a gem (Fire Agate, Amethyst, Greenstone, etc) and it would use it up as a reagent. The gem color changed the light color. Not sure why it's gone now.

It is possible to do, but on principle I do not add new spells or variants until we have dedicated icons for them :)

Could just sell 'color gems' in a store, use them, and then cast the spell.

there are several items that give light (spell) and light (torch/lantern)

until we have time to script/re-add the light gem items (low priority considering the other projects we're working on) use one of available light sources

tl;dr - we'll get there when we get there :)

Huge difference in Them being on all items and being able to choose which item you wish to put it on, to be fair.
