Items for a ritual to be available IG following the earning of them, and for it to be a "legitimate ritual"

The Ritual of Eternal Watch: Found written in a tome found within a sacked temple it details three items that need collecting in order to become immortal protectors to Helm, undertaking his watchful duties for eternity:

A crystal / spirit from a Druid Grove - The Land
The body of a King (Gondegal / Matrim) - The People
A netherese sarcophagus - The Heavens

They symbolise "everything that Helm watches over and protects"

A few sentences on how you plan to make the server more fun to play on for everyone, through your characters actions/story:

Hunt down and persecute mages, as they believe anyone who can use magic is a potential necromancer (they believe Helm killed Mystra becasuse her loose management of mages was a danger to everyone)

Act as Witchhunters / Monster Hunters for the House of Ash - climb the ranks to learn their secrets and assimilate it into the Helmite faith

Find and collect evil relics, weapons, tomes as they believe they are the only ones trusted enough to have and catalogue them - offer bounties, religious edicts banning them etc

Push to become The New Law in the city and become official members of the Helmite church - conflict with pretty much everyone

Brief background as relevant to the application:

Kren & Koeseph are two Helmites who wish to become immortal to do Helm's work for eternity, and are working towards conducting the "Ritual of Eternal Watcher" to do so.

I told them to put in an application as a form of legitimacy toward earning this. We can say 'approved contingent on IG events.'

AKA: If they don't deliver, they don't get the ritual.

Tell them to make PCs, get IG and do stuff, then we'll see about "rituals".

This looks like a ton of fun, I love a good crazy ritual.

I would be careful with involving the corpses of kings, as they are probably one of the more well-guarded and formally significant pieces of architecture for the commoner in our setting. I would broaden it to a significant item that once belonged to them.

Witch hunters are a really fun source of conflict in a heavy magic setting like ours. It would be interesting to see how they develop their story as they persecute every magic-user that gets in their way.

Overall this concept is fun and engaging, my only caveat would be have the potential that one or more of these ritual-items be intercepted by a rival or another member of the player base to provide the opposition with some agency over the plot.

I'd like to point out:
There are no designations on what the ritual must do.
They will inevitably need to involve others to get the 3 above items.
Official Clergy of Helm is EiG

The DM requirements on the above are pretty minimal. At most we drop a hint where an item might be now and then, and once they have it all together we run a ritual where we decide, not the players, what happens.

Its a terrible app for that, I just want to see a basic thing they have done IG in the interest of HoA for rank 2. But this isnt it, lol
