      One of the system's features is to draw in nearby intelligent mobs to investigate a loud noise they hear - Which can be done when using the pickaxe. The pickaxe as a tool makes mining faster and can yield you more ores per single attempt - But comes at the cost of the item being heavier and drawing mobs.

      From the report is sounds like they spawn in on the players screen and charge at them, when that happens it doesn't seem like they came from far away to check out sounds.

        I've witnessed similar things in the caves at the Storm Horns. The entire area was completelty cleared then monsters magically appeared when I started mining. Seemed too short a period to be backspawns.

          I kill the Guardian. He leaves no drop behind, robbing me of the ore.

          guardians should drop however many ores/gems were left in the node that was being mined

          if this is not happening, we need to know
          has anyone else had this issue?

            also a reminder that in CARES the R stands for Random :)

              I dont understand.
              The complaint was not about the random nature of the spawn.
              If it was Cave Troll or Slime or Kobold or whatever, I would deal with it.

              The complaint was about the nature that the spawns seemingly appear to materialize in front of the player on a cleared map. And in a matter that seemed excessive.

                I have added debugging messages to determine if its caused by Trinity or something else.

                    @Cojak81 Willing to Bet CARES was spawning monsters as people entered/left the area.

                      @SpiffyMeister a good answer, yep

                      he's in there, kills stuff, mines, someone else enters the area, new stuff spawns, the other person leaves the areas, he gets the spawns

                        Yes, most likely the above. Moving this to closed since appears to not be a bug.
