Misery Rank 3 in Vaylan [Setup - Echo]

I literally think that this is incredibly lame, she has done way more for the faction than Dario and is actively pushing an Agenda. She has been wearing the uniform regularly on faction functions. She merely switches it out to quest- which is exactly what I’d do if i found or was given armor better than my own.
-
If she represents the factions interests and has done stuff in character, as long as it all remains IC I don't see the issue. I understand that sometimes players can be difficult - but that in my opinion should be held separate from a characters achievements.

Also a fair point. DMs in v3-5 used to have this policy. Admittedly, that also had the wages tied into the armor and heartbeat scripts.
-
@SpiffyMeister I have litterally never once seen her in her uniform.
And whether it's what you would do or not doesn't change the fact that "if you are in a faction, wear your uniform" is both an in character and out of character rule that she decided didn't apply to her despite multiple warnings, and she went out of her way to avoid having to follow it even when we tried to meet her partway. -
@Lord_Acererak I have no issue with her achievements being recognised. But as the issue was with her faction, she shouldn't be rewarded by her faction.
-
If it's an ooc issue it is generally a good rule of thumb to not punish ooc actions with ic ones. It leads to every IG action we make being analyzed as potential punishment against the player in question. I myself did not know wearing your faction uniform was an ooc rule. Why is it? It seems an odd ooc rule to have but if it is an ooc rule it should have ooc consequences.
-
@Man-in-the-Mist Wearing your uniform is a rule because it is a uniform. That is the purpose of it.
If the faction is giving you free resting, discounted potions, a wage and NPC support, the very least they expect of you is that you wear the uniform they give you to represent them.
The Issue has become both an IC and an OOC one. She was warned on both sides about wearing the uniform, the OOC aspect of the punishment is that she had to give up her Glamour, the IC aspect in my opinion is that she has to re-earn the trust of her faction.
-
Faction uniforms were never a priority for me as a PC, so I don't care either way.
Abstain vote.
-
promote if she resolves the murder of Elridia in a satisfactory way, and then ICly they warn her if she doesnt wear the scale uniform with respect, she'll suffer the consequences of disrespecting the crimson guard?
Also, if there is going to be an OOC rule about uniform, then see it is added to the player rules.
As for IC rules to uniforms, then perhaps the faction can establish rules of their own if needed. -
Honestly, I have done some thinking about this. Yes the player has been a PITA OOCly, but really the DMs should had run the policy through them from the start. I think the main issue is our failing in policing the player from the start.
The fact she gave up her glamour and she killed Lydie, means to be she is serious about the Crimson Guards and should get promoted. We can discuss the finer details of uniforms outside of this.
-
It feels like there's a lot of ironing out of details here that need to be done. I say just give it to her, and make a global announcement with expectations of players regarding uniforms, etc.
And how they can go about suggesting changes and such. Rather than repeat this all over again.
-
She also killed Lydie while defending the honour of the crimson lady. While wearing the uniform.
Changing my vote to a yes as I feel she has now done something to somewhat placate the hardliners like Saga by clearly and proudly representing Vaylan against a slanderous foe.

It was good shit!

changing your votes, or?
-
Let 'em pass, I don't mind if Misery can toe the line and gets with the program IC and OOC.
-
Still a no but majority carries. I want nothing to do with the character though.
