    In essence, I agree.

    In practice, we're a roleplaying server, and the very nature of roleplaying servers requires some level of "fun police" otherwise it'd just be full of OOC communication and metagaming etc.

    The question is simply where the line is.

    We draw the line pretty clearly with IC/OOC(mostly) because we can all easily agree we don't really thinks it's roleplaying to have your character say "lol, dat gobbo got owned, crittastic baby trololololol" and such like

    This is another thing like that, but it's simply not as extreme.

    We have to be able to put down rulings on these kinds of things, it's the nature of a roleplaying server, there are others which have different points that line is drawn at, and completely none roleplay servers too.

    Bottom line is this:

    Someone has to decide where the line is.

    Those someones are the DM team. Principally, the admins.
    The DM Team aren't perfect or encyclopedias, as pointed out, and evidenced. This means there will be things that get missed, and decisions some people don't agree with.

    If a player dislikes the rule(ings), that's their right, but they have two choices:

    accept it and adapt to it play somewhere else.

    We prefer 1. But 2 is there.

    Bards (pure) have special songs, custom spells, and other bonuses. They are not getting more HP for the foreseeable future.

    It entirely designed around ECL subraces having drawbacks.

    We don't want to make playing a standard race have any real drawbacks beside the usual stat changes. It's IC, with a tad of "designed like this to fit OOC reasons."

    We are not looking at making this change as it does not align with the overall goals of the server. Lower consumable and overall lower power levels. This was discussed previously and rejected by the team. If you wish to have the ease and benefits of brew potion and craft wand then select the feat(s). The CNR system is open to all for no feat investment.

    For further information, in general, we don't want easy access to large AB boosting items, being as the AC is generally low, and the general "meta" (oh god did I say that...) is not having mega-tonnes of potions hanging out of every pocket at all times just to survive.

    So, the stuff that can be crafted, might end up being deleted, but I don't know.

    There is also baking equipment just outside the east gate. Much closer to the general store than the one on the high road.

    We plan to add more items to prestige stores that can be sold by faction members, to those out of the faction.

    However... we don't currently really plan for those to be equip able items (unless they are some kind of book, staff, or things like that, that may have charges on them)

    We'll have a think though, we won't be putting the old items back though, they were based around the old factions which are gone.

    I would personally prefer you cant get back up unless healed, and the bleed out is just a way to give allies more time to heal you.

    Trying to make it work the way that is suggested (which does make design sense) would be troublesome to say the least.

    Not gonna script in a menu for resting - just unmap R if it causes you problems, then use the UI button, which is a lot harder to press by accident.
