Sooooo I received a custom AC tonight and strangely enough this one listens to all radial controls. Attack nearest/Hold/Stealth/Detect etc everything. :O Have yet to see if it persists through a reset.

I did, used up 2 full cure serious wands, 3 bless potions and 2 barkskins to survive (barely) with two huge earth elementals :D There was a swarm of these stingers. Don't remember where, though.

Ok now I see. DIRE BEARS are CNR and drop pelts.
ANCIENT DIRE BEARS are CoA and do not drop pelts by default. Putting pelts in their inventory like I did for dire badgers.
