Ok now I see. DIRE BEARS are CNR and drop pelts.
ANCIENT DIRE BEARS are CoA and do not drop pelts by default. Putting pelts in their inventory like I did for dire badgers.

The old system was never imported/updated to EE.
Not a high priority atm, but if someone has time they may look to add/update it.
