      I'm not saying there shouldn't bea fear of death or lack of it, but rather... a different fearful method to induce said fear. A fear that isn't OOC.

      Although, it seems that leveling might not take that much anymore, if xp has been increased, so there may not really be much of an issue anymore? I haven't played in a while.

      I know we want death to be meaningful. I get it. I really, really do. But this game is a huge time investment. It shouldn't be a full time job getting back lost levels, especially when one unlucky crit can kill or one unlucky nat 1 roll on a will save can also kill. I agree that I hate losing time spent playing.

      We can also argue that levels don't matter... but they do, to a degree. Why else do we have levels then if only rp matters?

      I'd like death to represent consequences of course, but there has to be a way that doesn't kill all the time spent leveling. Maybe when you die you have an xp debt. Or maybe consumables are destroyed. Coins lost. Hell, even armor and weapon durability loss or breakage would be cool. Temporary ability score decrease? Could be annoying, but sure. Better than losing levels and time.

      Haven't played in a while, but I've consistently hit 9-10 on most of my characters.

      Being high level is nice and all, but it sometimes can be a pain in the ass when you're trying to group with other people to do quests. I think I've pitched this idea once before, and I'll pitch it once again:

      If CoA will continue to be capped at level 10, make the starting level 8 and then open ALL quests to these levels or rework them to be 8-10. This makes it so no matter who is online a party can be formed and can quest together in a reasonable fashion.

      Two levels is plenty for character growth IMO. The XP values to get to 9 and 10 to can be tweaked to take a little longer if the team is worried about people leveling too quickly. And I assure you, with death penalties, people will drop back to 8... right back to where the average character is supposed to be in the current iteration of the server.

      I'm a little burnt out on doing quests to level(even if it doesn't take THAT LONG)for the 50th time.

      Anyway, my 2 cents. No refunds

      Issue Description:

      The doors coming back from the private quarters & hall of rememberance to the public hall of House of Ash do not unlock with key. Not a bug just maybe missing variables or something. Thanks!

    • Add Holy/Dispel Bolts to Rogue Shop

      As title says, can we get Holy Bolts and Dispel Bolts added, seeing as there are already arrows of these types, only makes sense.

      Also a cool rogue light crossbow, called "Drow Hand Crossbow" or something, but not super necessary.

      I'm either dumb or just blind, but either I don't see this happen or I don't care because I'm not looking for it. If I see someone I know is a DM or storyteller playing a PC, why the hell would you badger them about something? Obviously they're just trying to play... like, goddamn, lol.

      I assume if a DM/Storyteller/Admin is playing a PC... they're probably somewhat removed from the plots, and/or are just inactive temporarily to reduce burnout. They shouldn't be bothered with shit.

      Could work, but I would be careful about the healing wand spawns.

      On quests and DM events even more so, people absolutely BURN through serious wands and support characters(the ones that might not be able to contribute much to fighting)will be nerfed directly by this. Healing potions are great but worse in combat since they draw AoO's to drink.

      I usually see a crapload of wands drop, but very rarely will I see animal buff potions or any other defensive potions drop. It's either the drop rate is set too low or not every quest has the same baseline range of potions to potentially drop.
