The spawns are a little much

Went down earlier with a group of 3 people, ran into around 6 duergar battle ragers and the big giant spawn of a fire giant mage, fire giant chieftan, some scorchers and glaives

@V-Rage All in one encounter? We need more information to understand the issue?

If the issue is the spawns are tough; Yes, they are. That won't change. If the issue is too much is spawning in a single mass or too frequently; that's a bug.

But the Pyre is meant to be risky to visit.

In the future, there are two simple rules to remember:

        NO SPITTING.

        DO NOT CROSS MISTER MOLOCH.

          @Mr-Moloch

2 encounters very close to each other

The duergar were just down the stairs close to the Pyre

The giant spawn was close to the door to the diamond cleanser

I assume they were two separate encounters, then?
Normally there is one encounter there, one encounter back, but I did experience two or even three before.
Seemed risky but manageable most of the time if you go down prepared. There was only ever one death I experienced (Spiffy).

@Mr-Moloch so I was there we had six dark dwarfs and RIGHT next to that was 4 or 5 more giants in the same room.

We were I guess three level nines, I damn near died, if we weren't nines looking at FPW

@CrazyZleric Thanks, that's an issue. The system shouldn't be spawning spawns that close together.

As the third in the trio mentioned I'll dissent from the group here and say that I think they are/were far enough apart to be a challenge but not be overly-brutal.

The dwarves were at the bridge, the giants were at the back of the pyre room. We certainly could have agro'd both if we were not careful (i.e., someone running around), but we didn't.

This was two level 10ish and a level 6. Maybe I just fear death less at six.

                  Current character(s): TBD

Yeah, that's certainly not "right next to each other". Yesterday I visited and there were duergar spawns in one corner of the Pyre room and the fire giants in another opposite one diagonally, but they would still be manageable to fight separately with a little care.

And it was much nearer each other compared to what Emoteen describes.

Is it possible that someone else ran and pulled the spawns from one place to another, then a later group came and new spawn came in?

made a small adjustment to these - but this area should still be dangerous, that's the point.
