Ice spider cave - too fast-ticking damage and cold immunity does not work

Another player remarked that the speed of ambient damage in the quest was greatly accelerated. Moreover, it was not prevented by having Aura of Shadows up.

i need data:
how fast was it firing?
how much damage was being done?
how was this accelerated over previous versions? -
The tick seemed to fire every round and it did roughly 1d4 or 1d6 damage I think. I've done the quest a few times in the past and don't recall it triggering that fast but perhaps I am misremembering? Then again, I remember the cave being filled with ice orcs and not ice spiders too, so may have been a while.
Quest name is Frigid Cavern
Sidenote: When conversing with the quest giver the whole idea of going into the cave is to 'get out of the cold.' Seems ironic seeing as it's even colder inside to the point where it physically hurts the party.

there are 3 different versions of spawns: orcs, ice spiders, winter wolves/bears

I still need data though - actual numbers. a screenshot of the damage taken would be great.

Uhg. We can run the quest again and get a screenshot for you, but I won't like it! That constant tick makes this quest the defacto "most damage taken" quest on the server.
