1. Character: Qazareem Shaaklamel :: Bard :: Chaotic Neutral

2. Applying for: Svirfneblin subrace

3. Background: Qazareem Shaaklamel, or Shaak for short, is a Deep Gnome who left his subterranean home at the advent of the Silence. At first believing the phenomenon unique to the Underdark, Qazareem joined the Companions of the Breach when he found it to be universal; hoping to find answers in hitherto unexplored planes...

4. Goals:
   Qazareem’s ultimate objective is to construct a tangible God unaffected by the Silence, to exist and flourish in the Prime Material Plane.

To achieve this, Qazareem has become a planar interloper in search of rare and magical materials with which to construct his God. He searches Planes for oddities to take with him, oddities with curious components.

Together with materials collected from queer and far-flung places, Qazareem will infuse his God with the songs of alternate planes; the ballads themselves serving as surrogate domains. A battle song from some hostile Plane as a gift of War, for example. He will compose songs / stories from each Plane explored for this purpose.

More than this; he ever seeks the spark of divinity, wherever it may hide...![alt text](

I actually really like this concept, for at its core, it speaks to a core element of the Silence, and it's believable in that even the recluse svirfneblin might seek rangers in the Silence.

However,

I would advocate that they get nerfed heavily from canon and previous CoA iterations.

I am thinking-

Attributes: As standard gnome, no debuffs.
Skills: +4 hide
Spells: 1/day blur (5).
AC: +2 (armor skin feat).
No Spell resistance or saves.

Thoughts?

I thought we didnt want anything underdark related.
We also dont have any "planes" for them to travel to.
This seems very DM dependent for the above reasons.

Is it a cool concept? Sure. Is it doable for CoA? Not sure.

@echo There is loads of 'planar adjacent' plots going on with devils and demons invading- which gives them a reason to stick around.

Also, I do intend to build a quest that randomly sees them in some random butt fuck plane for adventure and plunder- and frankly, I think a lot of Dms will enjoy running out of the box shenanigans and have a believable reason to do it.

No underdark subraces. Like you said before, be gnome or elf or dwarf and represent yourself in whatever way you want.

Quite a few PCs in that Ilmater group and since its Knockknock I'm assuming the rest will immediately quit to join him.

If we don't do Svirfneblin this could also work as a rock gnome with more or less no adjustments imo.
