      I VERY strongly agree.

i was not pleased with the discussion a little while ago, i did not say anything. but i came away from discord..feeling a strong sense of discord, and was on the verge of abandoning the discord thing. i had had a couple bad gaming sessions just prior to the discussion (the bad game sessions were my own fault)

i am not a good example, i complain, i ask for things in game that are not possible(i no longer ask, but the DMs know i hint at it without even mentioning it..like now)
, but i do try to keep it in game...even if it is stupid stuff

I'm not totally useless, I can be used as a bad example

oh wait, you know what, we kinda already have rules

        f8aa60b8-f6a0-47bd-8714-22aeec5a0091-image.png

Honestly, at this point, I'm voting for shutting down the discord channel and telling people if they want to talk they can do it on their own platform.

I should not have to regulate/moderate discussions among adults. But TWICE just today this has happened. IN ONE DAY!

        It's ridiculous, people.

        Let's start with:

        • if you cant be nice, dont say anything
        • if what you're about to say can be taken as "controversial" you probably shouldnt say it; same thing goes for "rude", "insensitive", "misogynistic", "trolling" etc.
        • avoid topics that are known to piss people off
        • dont spoil tv shows that some of us arent caught up on watching!

EDIT: I'm just going to start banning people that cannot follow Zool's one simple rule (See #2 above) without any further warnings. THIS IS YOUR WARNING! DONT BE A DICK.

Probably should make rules and a moderation roll for players to get who can issue time outs and or bans if necessary.

And really- the admin role is to enforce rules or come up with solutions.

If i am looking at general and it’s getting heated, someone needs to be there and shut it down.

Admin Team will discuss moderation roles and make an announcement.

Spiffy now has moderator powers, but since Storyteller outranks Moderator, he has gained more power but still remains yellow.

@echo I would also make moderator a position people can ask admins for.

I dont want people pinging me to ask to be a moderator. The Admin team will discuss whether players will be mods and if so, who.

Man in the Mist also now has moderator powers, but still remains Storyteller Yellow.

May I suggest that any political and religious talk be explicitly banned? I know it already falls under

But I think, due to the nature of politics and religion (people's beliefs), people feel very strongly about both. People get a bit attached to their stances on that sort of thing.
