      Hungry for love...

So I'm in the habit of toolsetting monsters and such. I want you, my lovely players, to pitch ideas for monsters!

      There are some rules, though:

      1. No epic leveled monsters.

      2. Work with a cap of level 10. This is subject to change.

      3. STRONGLY PREFER 3E or 5E sourcebooks for easy referencing. SRD preferred on top of that.

      4. Must make sense for the setting. No Alhoons, Scro, Neogi, etc.

      Caveats:

      1. There is no guarantee I will accept it as-is. I may buff or nerf it before its submitted to administrator DMs.

      2. I will only pick ones I like. I do not want to hear complaints about a rejection; I'm straight up being honest and saying only the ones I like.

I think @Gloomy_Sunday has a list of enemies that are weird.

One I remember him sharing was derro. Which would make great NPC/PC group that we don't just kill completely.

It was very common for derro to devote themselves to some strange quest, such as collecting only certain types of gemstones or slaying as many members of a particular race as possible.

He also told me about familiar that is basically a tiny version of the wizard, which I thought was really cool.

My preference is collective intelligence, I think the concepts are really cool. @Cadiz - when he was a storyteller - had a really cool infernalist rat plot, but it got so difficult for me (the spawns were amazing - like infernalist wererats, on fire and the like) when I was in the militia. I think CB eventually solved it and it turned out to be more infernalist (i.e., there was a crown controlling and mutating the rats).

But I tend to like the idea of some of the collective intelligence beasts in DnD e.g., Modron was always strange

modrons the embodiment of the universal principle of order
Modrons were only aware of modrons one rank higher than they were

Surprised they never sued Minions, if I am honest.

Modrons might be doable. I'll examine.

Mentioned this one the other day; Remorhaz. I think some parts of the Stormhorns would probably be cold enough for them.

            Bounty on their thrym secretion?
