a gem store run by npcs.

allows craftable gems to be sold for a greater value than 15gps to allow some value to be recouped for all the rp only gems that you can make.

also allows players to access the gems that they cannot make or acquire for crafting from others, though at inflated prices.

And allows the useful gems to be used for the things they are used for!

Will be noteable when strife introduces imbued gems again!

Absolutely open to this, although a few things to think through and consider; open to thoughts here.

1). There are no RP only gems. Each gem is actually used in the crafting system.

2). If @Strife-and-Discord is going to bring imbued gems back, definitely will want to wait on developing a store until we know how the system works.

3). The point about gems being available for people who need them but don't want to do crafting sounds like a definite point in favour of this!

4). I didn't do the math, but its like 9 GP to get a cut gem and 9? again to get a Fine Gem. So what would be a good max buy price?

Oh that completely depends on the rarity of the gem!

I try to bsae it on the power of the guardian that spawns when you try to mine it.
IE Emeralds cost more because that Emerald Guardian will whoop your ass
