Disagree. Should have to have some sort of skill to be able to successfully draw the blood, to store it effectively and to catalogue. Since that check means making a script, just a few points in lore or some items that give a bonus to the check after the fact is fine

        Mark it identified.

I get that we can make the item identified. What I am saying is I am against not having to have any investment to do this. Lore skill check to represent the ability and training to actually draw the blood etc. instead of making a skill check to see if a pc is successful in drawing the blood or fails etc.

@Prof-Misclick By that logic anyone with a labeled kitchen cabinet for their herbs and spices needs points in lore.

If we really want to go down this road-

            1. A heal score to properly drain the blood is appropriate, reflex to put it in the vial, concentration to hold it steady....

Tbf I dont even care to identify it, thats just an engine limitation in order to use it. I just want to be able to draw the blood of my enemies and bathe in it.

I'm quitting Barabus Fen, he was a character I made for the election and in retrospect I should have quit him after the result as you can only wander around insulting Verks clergy robes for so long before it gets old.

i understand your point, however you are making things realistic at the cost of good story.

We’ve plenty of items than need to be identified to use. This is the same as any item. Put some points into lore if you want to identify stuff. Same as any item really. Or get a friend. Or drink a potion. Or get some gear.

You want to craft something, you invest time to get good. This is not realistic at the expense of fun.

Or we just keep it simple and make a lord check?

Personally I am of the opinion, you likely know what you're taking blood from(in rare cases, people would still label them, players may also take it upon themselves not to know). And odds are has enough blood to fill a vial even if you are terrible at it.

But if it's inconvenient, might be worth exploring if dms would make an item to place blood stains (within reason)

So what I'm reading here is that it's not possible for an uneducated person to collect some of the red liquid literally falling out of the thing you've cut up and make a mess with it.

Because he doesn't know what it is.

The admins have discussed this and I am in the minority opinion. This will be fixed as a bug to be identified. Moving to bug report.
