Pretty sure its the base item, or whatever you call it.

It vanished with that one pictured and the insulating one as well as endurance.

Haven't tested others yet but pretty certain it will be the same.

Yep, I know it happens, I'm just wondering why, it's not a custom script or anything, and the game engine doesn't normally behave that way.

Well, seems like that's just how the game engine works these days. It must have changed at some point, possibly with the introduction of EE, as this little trick definitely used to work.

          Kinda sucks.

On nwn wiki it says unless it is marked as plot, item will be destroyed when it is useless (ie not enough charges left).

Are there any uses for these charms once they run out?

              Yes. They are prestige items.

So the way I think they are meant to work, you use it once then turn it in for prestige points.

No either you use it or you can turn in for prestige points otherwise we would be keeping empty healing wands with that idea

I am aware of a few people keeping wands with 1 charge left to turn them in for prestige.

This was actually my intention when I made these items.

The healing wand thing is another story - however, when I have been testing out prestige with various player characters, I gained a large bulk of my prestige from single charge healing wands after using all the other charges.

I cannot say this is the official stance of the DM team as I don't think we've discussed it - but, you can use the wands, and then turn them in with one charge - and in my personal opinion, if that's not meant to be possible, then they should be built/scripted/modified that way. (again, not official DM team stance, personal opinion!)

Yes, but when was this wiki entry updated? Because I am very... very sure this was a useful trick that DM's used all the time in the past, to make items with an odd number of charges, and 2 charges per use, so that your helm of tricks didn't poof once you used the last charge, and you could keep the stats.

According to the wiki it was true in 2011...

And I just loaded up the ancient version of the game, and it still happens.

Is this really how it always worked...????

                          mind explodes
