Human Were-Rat/Rogue/NE/LVL:4/Dario Darkmore/Ruler55
Applying for: Lycan(Were-Rat)
Background: A mother and father loyal to Talona and the poor people of Arabel.
They did what they could, creating antidotes and to make those of lesser class immune to common plagues/poisons as young Dario perceived it.
Upon one night he saw both his parents brutally executed before him. “Justice” they called it..
Angry and scared Dario fled to the sewers with only rats and Talona’s embrace to comfort his heavy tears.
Molded by his new home and now of age, he begins his journey with divine purpose.
To give Arabel a second chance to begin anew, as he did under his Goddess’s guidance.- Seek alliances with those who would respect the Lady of Poisons and help Arabel begin anew. (White hoard, Evil druids, manipulatable members of each house)
- Make the sewers his stomping ground, a place even adventurer’s would hesitate to enter.
- Explore different areas high and low in search for a variety of extremely rare and poisonous components.
- Experiment with different poisons on those who would get in his way with aim to find the perfect poison for Arabel’s water source and use it thereafter.
- Spread rumours of both houses to cause a further divide.
- Create a small group and shrine for those who pay respects to Talona.
- Steal to provide offerings, IE: Coin purses, magic items and even things of no value but are shiny or interesting.
Strength: Determined and unwavering in his cause he will stop at no end until Arabel gets a second chance.
Flaw: Is terribly afraid of cats and is hot tempered towards anyone who serves the side of justice. -

Simple and to the point - not super unique but honestly? the greeks told pretty every story there is eons ago!
I like the general gist- and who doesn't love a sewer dwelling rabble rouser?

We’ve a lot of Lycans but Ruler usually does a good job with any character he plays.

Not sure if to document here but anyway~!
They stalked and tried to take down Keline the Clerci/Paladin of the Red Knight.
Their plan was to utilise a bottle of maggots they gained from a DM event (has some disease spell or somethin) and poke them into her wounds, cover them back over, to let them spread to others. No looting or anything was gonna happen.
Was inconsequential anyway, me and Puffy Observed (not knowing the plan from Dario until after the battle) and it was a pretty epic fight, spanning two areas of the Helmlands- both went to near death at least once, summons were critting were-rats in the face, lightning bolts were hitting a near death paladin, who then.... made the save!
Keline eventually escaped to Arabel.
Dario was in Were-Rat form the entire time- as Keline is a real nice RP'er, I don;t exact any metagaming , beyond the impossible to avoid "just knowing" anyway.
I suspect Dario may try to start threatening her more... squishy freinds soon, if he can't take down the strategist herself...
We shall see how this develops.
(Also, had a chat with the player (Ruler) about some tips on making future interaction fun, hopefully it'll all go smoothe, decent roleplayer anyway, but they asked for some tips so.)

I feel like this is pretty much metagaming but, whatcha gonna do really?
They haven't outright said it's him but... well yeah.This is why we need a system to change peoples name temporarily when they shift form. I can almost gaurantee they wouldn't have had this brilliant almost psychic suspicion if that system were in place (unless they used the player list or clicked their portrait of course, but that's up to the player in question)

Just tell the player it seems like metagaming and ask them to remove the reference. Better to be kind and educating as soon as possible

But there is another detail that I left out. It's a detail so minor that it completely slipped my mind until just now.
Just after you and I parted ways and I met up with Sara and Kirin, we lingered at the Faceless for a few minutes to discuss where we would go to look for work. I was thinking back on that just now; after all, a meeting with a wererat who had a grudge against you on the road to the town where we publicly agreed to travel, all after your name was mentioned in the sending? Far too coincidental.
Do you know a man who dresses all in red and wears an antlered helmet? I spotted him very briefly, sneaking out the front door of the Faceless after Sara, Kirin and I agreed on where to go. At the time, I thought nothing of it. I've seen the man around before and he seems like a disturbed individual, but not someone I pegged as dangerous. But in retrospect, I should have known something was wrong.
The man in red may be the wererat we encountered, or at the very least may be an associate. Be careful.

Hi there! - I editted one of your IC letters- I removed the references to the "man in red with antlered helm" it just seemed a little -too- easy, that the info came to you. I totally get it though! we don't have a system in place to modify peoples names when they shift form (it's being worked on though!!!) and it is SUPER SUPER hard to know what's "ok" with regards to knowing who they really are- It's a judgement call from the DM side of things in this case, and there is ZERO blame or worry or trouble or anything at all directed toward you. I hope you understand why I have editted your IC letter to remove references to the man in red with antlered helm- and I hope you're having fun playing 🙂 - Zool [DM]
