I had this happen with my level 3 summons (spider) especially. I usually have more than one summon active in combat so I will need to test if I have the issue with just one.

Never had this happen with just one summon out (yet) but it happens fairly consistently with 3 out.

I will build a great wall -- and nobody builds walls better than me, believe me --and I'll build them very inexpensively. I will build a great, great wall on our Old Town border, and I will make The Cobble Demons pay for that wall. Mark my words.

happened to me a few times. I found a solution by telling them to guard me. Then they seem to wake up and attack.

@Locke Can you please let me know the summon theme as well as the spell level?

I've had it happen with Vermin, Earth Elemental, Undead and even my familiar.

Setting them to guard snaps them out of it, most of the time.

Vermin, elemental and undead don't even have functioning brains. No wonder they won't obey.

@Haquin I believe this is due to some summons not having the correct script set up, they should have the henchman default scripts.

Not sure if this is the same issue, but I have the exact same control issues with my druids animal companion. It is like playing the lottery if it will listen to you, do whatever it wants, or just stand there like bump on a log ignoring combat. Makes them untrustworthy for use.

It's an AI issue for certain

I double-checked the scripts on all summoned creatures today. They now might have the correct packages.

As of yesterday Joe was struggling a lot with his summons so I don't think this has been.

Before or after v6970? More changes were made in that version.
