It is well documented that there are plants capable of controlling corpses to aid in hunting down moving prey, and vegapygmies often use such plants to defend their homes.

    How curious.

One of the very first things involved in her re-habilitation is to open up about her recent past.
I will extract everything I can that can be useful to the Kindgom of Arabel and it's peoples, but my primary concern with her, is to make her more than she is, and to have her marshal her powers and use them for the betterment of the place in which she lives.

She was not one of the most deeply involved in the Lower House's dealings, but what little she knows, she'll give over to me. It may not be tomorrow though Pierre, bringing strays back in line is a process.

    You are heard.

    There's Kazimir

He seems to want to enforce the law.

I'd be willing to support him if he punished Ercole for his impersonation of a peace official with his idiotic calling himself the 13th councillor

Alright then, I have picked out all of the questions asked, and I will answer them.

@puffy said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

How would the Bloodhounds perform their duty as theoretical law enforcers?

They already do. There is just no legal recompense for defying them, so if you can kick their ass, you're free to go. We don't put our most powerful people on those streets, as is the same with every faction, the most powerful are out doing the most important things.

@v-rage said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

what happens if the Greywatch get enough favour to replace the Bloodhounds in the Historic?

Then it would work just as it doeas now with the Greywatch. If they wish to bring their own vote to the council to change this, they are welcome to do so. However, they don't really follow the law as written, but their own personal form of justice, so I find it unlikely.

@v-rage said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

Do they suddenly decide who are peacekeepers?

    No. See above.

@prettysmitten said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

aren't there Bloodhounds posted in the Historic district already?

    Yes there are.

@prettysmitten said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

Are you asking for permission to place more Bloodhounds in the district?

    No.

@prettysmitten said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

Are you wanting the Precept to be sole guard of the Historic?

    No.

@prettysmitten said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

I thought Greywatch and Precepts both guarded it. Or am I mistaken?

You are mistaken. The Precept and the Greywatch vie for position to have men watching the streets, for our own reasons, one of those reasons for the Precept, can be understood by reading the oath we take, in which it states "I promise to keep the laws"

@prettysmitten said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

you state that you want rights that are granted in the lawbooks already, which law are you specifically addressing?

I want the council to agree that, should someone defy the peacekeepers put in place by the Precept Arcanum, they would be committing:

-Evasion of a Peace Official- Intentional deception, evasion, or misdirection aimed at a member of the Council or Militia.

Should they attack them they would be committing:

-Armed Assault- Using any means to inflict excessive physical or magical violence on an unwilling individual. An individual killed and returned by magical means or miracle is to be treated as Armed Assault, unless the individual is a brave hero of the revolution or officiate in service of the Councils.

Should they kill them in this attack they would be comitting:

-Murder- Causing, directly or through carelessness, the death of any Arabellan citizen or foreign diplomat.

@prettysmitten said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

If such a law is already granted, then why are we talking about this?

Clearly, it isn't, otherwise the Knight of the Morning would have had charges brought against them when they diobeyed a reasonable request, attacked, and then murdered two bloodhounds in the district.

@v-rage said in Legal Peacekeeping rights in the Historic District:

I just want to know what you think should happen if the Precept can't send bloodhounds to guard the historic district due to lack of resources.
So far I've seen the Greywatch occasionally have guards there and once Luckbringers from the Tymoran church.
Should whoever has guards there decide who is peacekeepers there?

As stated above, if other organisations wish to petition the council for a similar stipulation, they are free to do so. I am petitioning this on behalf of the Precept Arcanum.

This should answer all questions asked thus far. If they are any other specific questions you wish answered, let's have them. We are about to be attacked by a preist who is fully aware of what happened when a knight of the morning did the same.

    The complete opposite.

I want us to take it extremely seriously, which means getting some evidence that even her closest allies (if she has any left) would stumble over their words trying to deny.

We do not want to petition the higher council for a trial, only to have it fail. Especially when a councillor is being threatened.
We need something more solid than Treth's word against hers (or the words of the mundanes of Hillmarch who will probably mistake Treth for a demon) anonymous letters and sendings, or failing to send us a letter when requested.

Dourhand the Grey Dwarf is using the work of monsters that would otherwise be killed on sight to increase the speed of his digging. When he gets closer to finding enough of the material required to craft his weapon to destroy the devil, I will provide information to the council.

Aided a Precept member, by offering his own life essence to make a potion to save her mother. Banished a demon and incinerated a drow infernalist. Destroyed a village of bhaalists cultists. Cured a number of individuals from a dragon lich curse. Destroyed said dragon lich. Aiding in removing the purple worm near Tilverton. Performed a ritual to ward Deadwell. It was successful on a small scale, and he's working on expanding that. Then Deadwells undead would be trapped and not attack nearby settlements. //OOC: The DM running this plot is currently away, so it has stalled.

It's clear the council has no interest then.

The Precept will keep an eye on the situation, as is our remit with magical incidents.

It seems the forces of the lady of bells have been leaving cut emeralds in circles around Eveningstar.

Over the last week they have been found in the circle near the haunted halls, the circle near southhorn and a patch of dirt in the south horn graveyard

Unfortunately we are unsure of their purpose at this point

The situation with the dragon spirit the Magus stirred up has been resolved through the combined efforts of multiple parties, including the Precept Arcanum.

All the curses involved have been nullified - including the one House Mossmore placed onto a citizen of Arabel as some form of vigilante justice.

My own specialities are in warding, and even I know that warding the Hillmarch Mines and the rest, is at best a temporary measure.
If we want to set up an exceedingly costly, constant drain on the Kingdoms resources though, that would be the best way to go about it.

The Precept Arcanums Scion Treth is working in conjunction with another Latent by the name of Sharruk on a more permanent solution.
