Adding to this report, I have had an face to face meeting with another Vampire right in front of the North Gate of the city.

She called herself Shamril, and she came out of nowhere clad in Dusk and Gold. She was not very forthcoming with information, but my call to speak with the one in Coal and Crimson spurred he into some type of action. She gave me "gifts" as well. A bag which contained 3 vials of Liquor, an amulet to Amaunator who I understand to be some type of old god, and an amulet to Jergal who I do not know. Shamril I am certain is in the service of Asberon. She would not give me any clear answers on their intentions or goals, but it is clear if she wishes me struck down, she can do so easily. Both sides seem to be courting favor, but to what end I am not sure. If there are any more sightings of these Vampires
i wish them to be reported here, no matter how insignificant it may seem.

The war has been won though at a price dear. We must now look to the future and the rebuilding of the realm.

We may have had a breakthrough in this. You will have to follow Grurecs report on the "Treasure Hunt" from earlier to know full details of the situation. Great Druid Nanthleenee, your Brother of the Wyvernwood may indeed be aiding this Ariania "Child of Maluradek". We may now know how and why.

In our exit from the Forgotten caves we came across a man, drained of all life and blood with an ecstatic and blissful smile on his face. He had only a bottle of strange smelling liquor. Smell was sweet alluring and revolting all at once. After exiting the tunnel and burning the corpse of the man, we saw a figure covered in a clothing colored of coal and crimson. It is possible that this was Ariania herself. She slinked back into the night like a shadow and we could not pursue her.

The potions had a particular effect on Miss Ottilie after she had smelled the liquor. She seemed "high on life", and more "brazen" in public with there desires. It is possible that if drunk this liquor could force her to seek out Ariania and be under her control. The same could have been the case with Brother of the Wyvernwood Miss Nanthleenee. I will try to research this liquor more, but Ariania has made her appearance to us. It is possible she is being brazen, or wants something from us. Either is cause for concern.

After much consideration and self-reflection, I have come to the following conclusions.

Obyn should remain in Tilverton - let him keep it. The further away he is from Arabel and Lady Islyn, the better off we all are. I care not what he calls himself while he is there. We do not ask Obyn to "been the knee" or to kiss anything that has come to my mind. Instead, we offer him a peaceful co-existence and a trade agreement pending the defeat of Marliir. He's too greedy to pass up coin if offered the right terms. We need to offer something that Tilverton cannot make for itself. I imagine grains will be top of the list. He does not have much farmland to speak of. His people may be well-fed for now, but how long will that last? Without income, he will start to lose gold, and thus, food supplies. We offer that there will be no trial but only if he denounces any claims to Arabel, its lands, or its people. If he is not a citizen of Arabel, we cannot charge him or try him. We find out how Marliir is able to approach the city. We employ diviners to set up wards around the city to detect her.

A land is restless. Many moon ago, a knight was encountered a few times. it roamed, seeking a champion to protect the people and to continue to defend their cause. We have not seen this one for a time, but as the dead as still restless, we suspect he did not find what he wanted for his people.

A Crimson one, elf, Crimson Bear we called him, once fought it and gained a weapon from it. Perhaps the Crimson ones can dig around their papers to find his notes, if he left any.

Those who have carried Laam Wilaml, with the intention of sharing their tales and sharing good will. It is proper for the sword to know the Spirit of Arabel if it is meant to find the hands of a noble leader.

Laurel Wildwalker, wielded the blade within the Hullack Forest, she spoke of understanding - knowing all people have worth and deserve to be fought for. Laurel reminisced about her life growing up in Sembia, she spoke of the cutthroat politics, oppression of the non-human races, and how self-serving attitudes will divide peoples. Her vision of Arabel United is one where ancestral bloodline is not used to judge worth. All deserve dignity and a good ruler would protect even those marginalized by society.

Danny Steele, wielded it with the Kings Forest, the yawning Abyss. He spoke a private lesson in elvish, which later he revealed to be about truth and courage to do difficult tasks.

Dawnknight Muric, carried it on his person as we carved our way into the Stormhorns. He described loyalty and the meaning of service to the blade.

Kaldo the Undead-slayer, he carried the blade within the Hullack and Stormhorns as well, he spoke of his sister who was slain by undead at a young age. He spoke of his lust to avenge her, and his wish to protect others who might suffer the same fate.

Sir Nicholas, I've carried it myself at every chance I can. I have spoken to the blade, and it has spoken with me on what it means to Rule. Most importantly, I've hoped to bestow a semblance of trust within the blade. As I offer to let others teach it lessons, it is my wish that it too would find it within itself to learn to trust the People of Arabel, and offer this same lesson to the would-be ruler.

Luckbringer Ottilie Taaliyah, Commander of the Twelve, has earned the privilage of carrying Laam Wilaml for -two days- after besting Dawnknight Tiatus Thornwind in combat. She wishes to teach it how to achieve its goals, by way of passion as feverous commitment.

The blade is meant to embody the spirit of Arabel. To protect its most common adventurer, and to defend her spirit and body. The blade will find a person, or persons, most capable of these feats and it will aid in their attempt to secure the Kingdom.

Councilor Dextar Jes'tar found the strength to wield Laam Wilaml and spoke to it in whispers regarding lessons of trust and friendship. Midway through the lesson, these were demonstrated when a Gorgon took us by surprise and encased Councilor Jes'tar in stone-flesh, along with Laam Wilaml. His party, myself, Commander Ottilie, Councilor Grurec, Faryn the elf, Celinda the elf, Topher the Tormite leapt into action. Otti stayed with Councilor Jes'tar while the rest of us hunted the great "Queens Abyss" for another gorgon so we might fashion a potion of Gorgons Bane. We were lucky enough to come upon a Hobgoblin hunting party which appeared to be trying to capture a Gorgon. We slew the party, killed the Gorgon, and found -2- potions of Gorgons Bane along with a Gorgon scale. We returned to Dextar, restored him to flesh, and concluded our expedition as one. In the end, Councilor Dextar Jes'tars' lesson to the blade was only enhanced through demonstration, as it was the trust he spoke of - the trust in his companions, that led to his salvation.

During the gala, Senior Retainer Rismente was able to pin point the White Witch's location to a tower within the Stonelands. Scouts have been dispatched to map the areas, and we prepare to deal with Tilverton before we march against the White Witch.
