    As per the title. It seems that failing at light (possibly also moderate and higher) healing potions does not destroy any of the ingredients - making this an "automatic win". It seems unlikely to be intended this way.

      The "lose stuff" is on the essence level for these potions.
      (Aloe Leaf and Malachite dust can be lost on Essence of Cure, for example)

      None of the potions are currently set up for you to lose stuff because people whined that potion making was too much of a grind.

        Okay, thanks! Maybe consider destroying just the "alchemical reagent" then, so that there is a slight monetary cost that does not involve additional grinding in the sense of searching for more ingredients?

        While it is not a big issue, the present solution simply means that one can go 10 times (or however many attempts it may take) to craft something with a 10% success chance.
