Name: Haaras Raddasten
Race: Tiefling (human) + Lycanthropy (werecat)
Faction: Misrim
Alignment: Neutral Evil

Background: Haraas had been a mixed blood for as long as he can remember- both his strange, tainted blood of his planar heritage, swirling with the tainted blood of being a lycan. It has led to an odd, out of place man. Haaras found someone like him, in his journeys. Sanura. He bonded as friend, someone as similar kind. Yet, she had her own direction of being a part of the House of Misrim in City of Arabel to follow Lady Islyn. After wrapping up things with his pack, Haaras begrudgingly chased after her to ensure that she would be safe.
When he arrived in Arabel, and found her already within House Misrim, Haaras could only join up as well, taking up the house colors and falling to their ways. Yet, he would do anything for those of his pack. Anything. He was a man not driven by laws or society- albeit no idiot, so he conforms, when necessary. But make no mistake, if harm befalls Sanura or any others of his kind, there will be hell to pay.

Goals:

Protect Sanura from harm, protect her secret.
Having joined House Misrim, Haaras could possibly grow to find the House his new Pack. If not, he will simply be there to keep watch of his kind.
Learn of other lycan presense within the city and outside of it
Hunt the wretches that have turned their back upon lycans. Secretly work against the Hunter's Union to bring it down.
Connect with Malarites within the forests, making deals between those of Nature and the House Misrim.
Going to sate his more bestial nature in hunts and leaving offerings for such.
Hunt those that have assaulted his pack before: the White Horde. slaying those enemies and letting their blood wet the sands in payment of the debt of blood they had made by hunting those that were with him when they had refused to join.

I thought Sanura has been with Islyn since she was a child?
Tiefling werecat just sounds... bizarre. Possible, I guess, but .. what is it like mechanically?

Vote YES for Lycan/Tiefling
NO: for Misrim

He can make a Lycan. The goals he outlines are good enough to pass a Lycan app even in stringent times.
If he wishes to pursue Misrim he can start as a Bannerman and eig. This seems a BS app to me, one that he will abandon quickly with the ECL 3 or because he gets bored. If he proves me wrong and is awesome, then I don't see why we'd not let him join the faction.

That's what I recall from that app but Shark is just trying to wedge something in. I'd rather Cat explored and excelled in the faction without another Lycan crutch.

I would assume that the benefits and stats would stack. Not an issue with the ECL 3 though imo.

I'll vote yes for EITHER lycan OR tiefling, but not both.
EiG Misrim. It's not that hard to earn Rank 2.

I'm fine with whatever. Keep in mind, ECL 3 will be a major hit and hardly worth a couple extra stats so the power creep is more than compensated. For example, where a non ECL would get 80 xp for defeating a CR 6 creature, an ECL 3 would get 30. Scaling XP means that starting at level 4(7) the pc gets only 50% from kills. At level 5(8) the pc only gets 10% from kills and from level 6+ the only xp the pc would get is from quest completion and DM Xp.

Spoke some more with Shark. He has decided to not do this. Going Aasimar and zealotish Paladin type.

[5:33 PM] Professor Misclick: If you don't like the plot and don't want to play that's fine. But there is nothing wrong with this plot and regardless of any plot, there is always a way to make excuses for why something sucks.
