    So when I cast Darkfire on myself it does fire element. When I cast it on other people it is fire. Summons with weapons, fire. Vaylan mercenary, fire. Ghyslain Garland, acid.

    Acid

    We tested different weapons. He had an ichor in inventory so got rid of that. Any items that could have possible effected it, from both our inventories. All acid! I tried with ichor and other things in my inventory. All fire for me and other targets, acid for him. It's not bad but... weird... and we don't know why it's doing this!

            @SpiffyMeister that's the difference between OBJECT_SELF and oPC. :smiling_face_with_open_mouth_closed_eyes:

            I'll fix this, eventually...

              Tested this with another cleric. Got acid.

              Appears darkfire gives me acid and flame weapon gives me fire.

                Could it be his diety? I remember we changed certain dieties to charge darkfire elements when a player casts it. Could be a relic of that functionality not working properly?

                  Darkfire spell checks for a few variables to change the damage type, including domains, mostly. The script is checking the target's domain and not the caster's domain.

                  Easy fix.

                    @Haquin said in Darkfire elements:

                    ipt is checking the target's domain and not the ca

                    Do they target the weapon directly, or the player holding the weapon?
