Knowing that Beshebhans are binding and torturing celestials to use their blood to corrupt the tree, Derrick will place a bounty on the bandit spawns from the bounty system, offering rewards such as tokens of the path of heroes to those who hunt them as well as leading expeditions himself, Believing them to be agents of misfortune or at least harbouring information on them in efforts to locate the cult and wipe them out

Derrick will defend the practice of summoning celestials from those that oppose it, working to ridicule and hamper those who try to crack down on it, Such as trying to garner a sincere apology from Fleur for her threats and making her seem stupid and a Besheban agent as he tries to turn her allies from her, Mocking Tobias in sermons for refusing to face him himself in combat but fighting over a potion the next day and encouraging others to do the same

Derrick will defend the practice of summoning celestials from those that oppose it, Working to portray it as a goodly deed and defending it as only those who are wicked would have something to fear from it, challenging them on their beliefs whist using celestials as possible such as on events and quests where possible to garner public support to alter the lawbook, duelling those who oppose where necessary and damaging their reputations if needs be as people who put the words in a book above the safety of the city and its spiritual health as the seat of Tymora

He will try and normalise their use, highlighting they would be a potent force against House Vyra, and should he earn the theme he will make wands of summoning to give to allies who can use them if they show off their power and thank Tymora for her servants aid

Derrick will seek to normalise their use as asking their aid to cleanse evil items, Seeking to show it as safer than simply burning them, He will lead expeditions to search for items of dark faiths such as Tiamat, Besheba and Bhaal as well as issue bounties on these items and call celestials in rituals in the Tymoran temple as a ritual site to cleanse them

I told him I wasn't moved by the petty grudges and expect the heavens wouldn't be either. He offered the additional:

Could get people to petition to change the lawbook to demand celestials. Seeking out evil faiths items, like those of Tiamat, Besheba etc to be purfied in celestial light.

Some things that support his efforts so far:

He already summons boldly with lesser planar binding from good domain.
He obtained favor from a celestial.
He's opposed/been opposed by Beshebans.
He elected to raise dead (at his own cost) a Justiciar fallen to undead in the south horns in witness of a summoned celestial.

Stepping back my only hang up is that it is Verk... who is very transactional and checklisty - something that doesn't feel like the inspiring grandness of the heavens, but the man has put in consistent work and will continue to do so. I'm good with it with some nudges for him towards thinking bigger and broader.

In terms of this or offical clergy it feels like an easier one for me to say yes to.

How powerful do we want a celestial summoning theme compared to default?

I'd say 10% to 20% stronger - I'll rebalance this theme before we want to give it out.

Agree with this. I ran the celestial favor and are running the Beshaban cult piece. Derrick is moving well with these plots and doing alot of involvement.

Think we can call this approved, 24 hour confirmation though.

I revised these summons, not much - they weren't too bad but some were weaker than lower level ones. So he should be good with these.
