I've got F set as my walk key. no idea how intuitive it might be for other people but I find it's not so bad. I had the same annoyance at first cuz I always used to use search mode to rp walk before I was playing an elf, but I kinda like having a dedicated walk key now.

uh, no opinion on whether that's a good enough solution. but it works for me so I figured I'd share

For me I have the s key set to walk and w key set to run. It works for me and while it did take an adjustment when I first changed it, now it's natural for me to use them. :)

Honestly, the above works pretty well. Fingers on the WSAD keys, my thumb can press the space quite comfortably.

Why try to give the DMs more to work on when all you have to do is go into the settings and set "Walk" to a key on your keyboard then use Shift+Click like everyone else to walk and talk.

I use W for walk, and Spacebar for run myself. And of course Shift+Click to walk and talk.

I mean, it's only been this way since the game came out. It's not a new feature.
