Hey, what about adding some different shields to woodcrafting, perhaps even a wooden helmet? Benefits similar to the wood types, perhaps a lowered fire resistance?

Perhaps different types of lacquer coatings, like the smithing coating processes, to give additional properties or remove fire res penalties?

Make some suggestions of what materials would be needed
Keep in mind we have 3 types of wood available: Oak, Hickory, Mahogany

Like it @thorkm. But maybe 1 plank for small, 3 for large, and 9 for Tower.

Hickory wood is very hard, stiff, dense and shock resistant. Maybe it gives a straight +1 AC. but has a much higher level needed to craft and a rare metal ingot?

Mahogany is not quite as shock resistant. Maybe give it a piercing immunity or slashing immunity and the best version might get both?

@thorkm These are really good ideas. I'll polish them up and add them to crafting in the next few weeks. I'm totally swamped with work right now, but I have a week off coming up mid-March.
