CARES spawning too much in Crystal Cave
-
Either way, I cant find a reason for it...
-
Hm, maybe be that the spawns cannot all fit in the tunnels so they bunch up in certain areas.
-
Oh I hadnt thought of that. The tunnels are a little narrow in places. Hm... I thought I had put the spawn points in the more open spaces. Will take a look this week sometime. (I'm back to work this morning)

I probably broke it then, I redid them after they didn't work the first time :)

we explored yesterday. The spawns were large but nothing over 20. There is a lot of howlers, that's mostly the issue in large spawns. (not sure if it was the wolves of the worg riders that were doing the howling though)
We did get 1 spawn of 20ish goblins with one of 5 or so stingers in the same spot. That was near the snowy spot, in the tunnels going on the side. Might be two triggers too close to each other.

How is it now?
-
No change. Went this weekend and it was pretty crazy.
Spiffy and Zool can confirm. If it was changed today, I'll go back and let you know!

That's after a load of them had been killed before I managed to get the screenshot.
-
And there was a slightly smaller spawn of kobolds (maybe 15ish of em with a wyvern) in the icy cave just before this one >_>
-
tbh that's kinda impressive
-
Scary yes. But the area name in the OP says Helmlands: Crystal Cave, Zool's screenie was taken in the Forest of Eyes: Forgotten Tunnels.
Was the issue in the OP fixed? or does it just have the wrong area name?
-
Please test the caverns after version 7069 goes live.
-
Has anyone had a go?
-
Went once. Massive spawns seemed to be gone but I did not explore the whole area as I stumbled on a Beholder and then a cockatrice...
It is probably resolved.
