So we've been talking about the server, the setting, and the future. We'd like to know what you are all thinking. This is confined to the story, not mechanics. Information on factions that need more/less/removal/new, lore, content and/or overall direction.

Happy Gaming and an early Happy New Year,
    The DM Team.

More fleshing out between the relations between the Crimson Guard and House Mirsim and the intricate relation of providing gold to house Vaylan and why.

The Crimson Guard is essentially a private bodyguard force for Jastyne. House Misrim is more or less in control of the city economy, and thus- the distribution of funds for government/military/etc...

The Crimson Guard is independent of Misrim's funding- the details of which new members aren't privvy to really.

Basically- Misrim funds the government and the mercenary armies that Lord Olaf controls. Players protect the unofficial heir-apparent and try and make her 'official.'

The reason for this is because neither of the Misrim heirs showed any apparent talent for command, especially after Talvys Misrim's passing. Anastacha and Gondegal essentially kicked commanding the army into Olaf's lap, and as long as mercenaries are paid- they tend to be happy. Gondegal himself showed no interest in managing the army either.

Yes but there's barely any time between beating up people and getting beaten up... And I will take it upon myself for 2020 to try and reply less to topics I have already replied to once.

As far as story is concerned,

I'd like to see more Cormyrean meddling in our affairs. its pretty clear that neither side, Revolution or Cormyr, can stomach another war, but that wouldn't stop foreign powers from trying to mess with our city.

It doesn't specifically need to be Cormyr, but other interested bodies, I think, would try to take advantage of our youthful State.

I would like to see a story where another power (probably not Cormyr) tries to gain influence in the city and has us all question if standing alone is still the best course of action.
