If he is working for the Embassy, he is not a Retainer of House Misrim, as his fealty would be to the Thane of Thunderholme, and not Misrim.

Just stop with the loot polls as well, really. Just make loot for people you think are cool and just tag it that you made it.

Misrim and the Embassy are close allies, if his work benefits both dwarves and Misrim. I don't see why he couldn't be a dwarven envoy as well, it is a special position after all.

This is technically a special position poll, the loot is extra.

And he has brokered alliances with and using dwarven aid many times, it makes sense that they would reward him. Envoy might result in split loyalties though I agree. Promotion and upping his wage to higher than the rank 3 average as the Dwarven embassy officially hires him also as their Misrim Liason perhaps?

I was gonna suggest that, actually, earlier. I just didn't know the right wording. I was thinking diplomat/ambassador, but that definitely wasn't it.

Reshape his position to be the liaison. Everybody's happy!

Could just say he gets rank 3 and a slightly higher wage cause the Embassy put in a good word for him to Misrim. I would still like to give him mod status over dorf forum though

Maybe wait until he finishes the last piece of his frost giant plot. Then reward him with it, seems more earned once he has the Queen's head as a trophy to bring back (if successful..)

He cannot be an envoy because his payroll is the dwarven Embassy. Canada and the US are allies but that doesn't mean you can work in the US state department and be a Canadian Ambassador at the same time.
