Most likely had to do with the party being across several areas or that a player joined the party during the conversation.
Scrolls are fine, none of the super dangerous ones available. Lowered magical wands charges

Yeah these are resized beds. Same issue happened downstairs with the benches. I removed the benches to allow access to the chairs.
