The starting area for the server could do with a refresh I think, as it should be the gateway for the server and really grab you as you first start here - ideas as below:

Split the areas into an OOC and IC area:

OOC area has details on mechanics, server specific bits

IC area I would recommend changing to a caravan "station" offering a couple of thematic options as to why you are coming to Arabel (ie you can pick being a merchant, so get some additional gold, a mercenary so you get a small pack of potions etc)

The NPC Caravan Master would give you a brief overview of the current lay of the land and setting history and send you on your way (Delzuld and Braerwinter's current campaign, recent sacking of Tilverton etc)

It currently feels a bit cluttered, and is named "A New Dawn" for no real reason from what I can see!

Could use an update, and splitting it into IC and OOC would likely make it easier to update the IC stuff.

I would just remove all the statues telling the backstory in huge detail, and just direct people to the library/palace where, I think, the same info is on statues anyway. Just have a basic current state of things which can be easily updated when things change.

it's on "the list" just taking much longer than I anticipated.
