Might be cool to have some starting gear fitting different backgrounds?

Sembian leathers, Candlekeep robes, Waterdeep chainmail etc.

Thoughts?

Make them and send a dm the file. Easy enough to add them to a starting store.

Put down a merchant waypoint. Fill the inventory. and send the area.

Do NOT send us the merchant store an erf, send the area with the store in it.
