      1. Faun/Bard/CG/0/Undecided

      2. I am applying to play a faun PC. I’d reskin the Half-Elf because it has most of the things I’d want (+2 charisma mod, some fey-like resistances and minor skill bonus points) without needing a DM setup or anything. Then use the clothing creator to do the cloven feet and stuff.

      3. AusGre and I were thinking about running a duo concept involving my character who was exiled from the feywild by a local monarch through some perceived slight. She desires to get back in the good graces of this monarch by cleansing a local area of undeath and, by creating a portal through bardic magic spun from the stories of local PC adventurers, basically annex that newly freed land in the name of that monarch.

Truth told, I don’t expect this to go far, but it’d give me plenty of reason to pester PC’s about their goals and write them down and tell stories about them while also giving Aus and I something to do on our own- learning about undead, the curses afflicting the lands, stuff like that.

Aus’s character was drawn into this by someone who saw what happened and thought it unfair, so convinced this other mortal to help my character navigate the world. We’ve been discussing the idea of Aus’s character having been shipwrecked and approached by a fey of this same court (a courtier or just some other ‘good soul’) and offered help if they agreed to look out for this faun so we’d be pretty close, but always working with others and doing stuff unconventionally if we can help it.

A real faun is a bit of a stretch tbh, they fall under the drow category I would say. After all, not like a fey can just waltz around in the streets.

I would not be opposed the RPing of a half-elf as a feytouched though. Kinda same same

the real bench mark for success is if you seduce a puffy pc or npc

I'd be willing to go as far as feytouched (the great grandchild of a faun or something that shows a few traits), but a full faun .... no. They'd probably be KoS by most uneducated commoners.

Touched base with the player about Faun being a no go and mentioned the alternative. (Fey-touched, half-elf, etc). They are going to mull it over but understood.

@primordial If theyre into the idea of a Faun, feytouched is the route I'd go like the others suggested above. They could be striving to unlock their heritage as a motivational goal for the PC?

They could still go with the exiled plot, Monarch doesn't like half-breeds because generic reason, and it gives a means to empathize with the PC.

Yeah that sounds fun! When I brought the news about no fauns they didn't seem as interested in feytouched tho. We then went on to discuss a few different concepts, primarily stuff that involved adventure, intrigue, etc. I mentioned Summerstar being an amazing position to go after that did just that.. Adventure! And that seemed interesting to them. Going to follow up again soon and hopefully have an update :).
