Should crimson stinger be in module?

Someone told me the crimson stinger shouldn't be in the module, or should be very nerfed if its intentional.

Either way here is a bug report if its a bug.

I did, used up 2 full cure serious wands, 3 bless potions and 2 barkskins to survive (barely) with two huge earth elementals :D There was a swarm of these stingers. Don't remember where, though.
