Crafting Rehaul or bust

SO Candy and I went mining, after some DM spice we got basely the motherload of copper! She got LESS than half that ores back in ingots. Then after refining she got TWO stack of copper bullets made that's it and she didn't make level 1 in either craft furthermore I Buffed her stats up!

So I went to make wands using the crafting feat to make the task easier, I hit the cast button and it wants 1550 gold!

the Crafting system is gate SO hard it's basically impossible for casual players to get anywhere with it. Also you have to rely on OTHER crafters to get other stuff...that's not happening on arabel a this time.

Half to the CoAss crafting skills don't work. it either needs a serious rehaul or it just need to go. It's not fun it's ultra grindy and it's super gated!

@crazyzleric also keep in mind this was a wizard buffing the related stats to that crafting!

i really enjoy crafting, it takes a bit of time to build up the momentum but when you get started it quickly builds up
my best tip is to be patient if you want to go into crafting, it is a time sink, but grants nice rewards if you can spare the time

the problem is not all of us have the time to sink, Candy and I get on for Maybe an hour or two. Just not rewarding to come in with a mother load of ore and be rewarded with a whopping TWO successes in making copper bullets WITH a Wizard buffing the correct stats. I can't even make wands to help because just making wands without the crafting system is SUPER pricey!

If you know someone who can write an entirely new system and integrate it into CoA... I'd be willing to look at their code.

Right now your success chances are calculated by:

  int nEffDC = (((10 - (nPcLevel * 2)) - FloatToInt(fPcAbility / 2.0)) + 27) - ((10 - nRecipeLevel) * 2);

This was based on player feedback and a lot of discussion over a year ago.

Also the crafting system (CNR) and the craft wand feat are NOT connected in any way.

That's the price for a 25 charges wand. Its about right. Give you 62 gold per charges. Which is a lot cheaper than potions at the shop. Check the link Echo gave above for the various chat commands that come with the wand crafting feat. You can chance the number of charges and the caster level (when it applies)
