Timezones have been an issue for us to meet up in game but he has been working towards our mutual/faction goals. https://nodebb.cityofarabel.com/topic/63738/mourner-tristain-s-reports

[5:09 AM]gloomy_sunday: Topic: ThePatronSaintofDisappointment/Tristain/rank promotion house of ash

            Human/Ranger/CN/Tristain
Apping for: Promotion to rank of Gravedigger
Handle: Normally I play as Gloomy_Sunday, currently ThePatronSaintofDisappointment

How I'll play: Tristain will attempt to gather adventurers to aid in hunting down necromancers and patrolling the areas where undead are known to rise (Deadwell, South Horn, Tilverton). He views resolving these issues not only as a public good, but also as a means of increasing his own wealth and prestige within the House of Ash. When no adventurers are available, Tristain will explore these areas alone, and destroy what undead he can, and ensure that his activities are reported to the House of Ash. Any necromantic artefacts will be handed over to the House of Ash or used to power the ward at Blisterfoot.

Tristain will also keep an eye out for potential PC necromancers, this will involve sharing information with those few that he trusts, watching those he suspects, and reporting to the House of Ash. With this in mind he will also observe the Hosue of Ash while participating in its efforts, and ensure that no necromancers, who would create undead of the innocent, infiltrate the group.

Bio - Hailing from the Spine of the World, Tristain was trained as a hunter of the undead by the clergy of Selune, who hoped he would join their order proper. During his trials he was found by their leadership to be selfish and greedy, as well as having little regard for the notion that theirs was a holy duty to destroy evil rather than a task they do to enrich themselves. Finding himself without allies, Tristain travelled the lands hiring out his skills as a hunter of the undead, usually dispatching minor threats, and evenntually finding himself in the fledgling Kingdom of Arabel.

The Character: Tristain is a hunter of the undead, however rather than seeing undead as being evil and thus requiring destruction he approaches from the point of view that it is an enslavement of the soul to the individuals remains after death, which is weilded by those who would use them to harm others who have often done no wrong. While he is eager to destroy these 'slaves', and their masters, he is fairly greedy, and will generally only do so for payment or some form of advancement unless the circumstances are dire. While he is cynical of the motivation of most 'organisations', he sees the need of a collective effort to stop the undead, and those who would spread them.
