      Late in the afternoon the old Black Tower outpost, occupied by the Orbulent Cult and the Omniscient Izereth, was attacked by the Archdruid Ursula who harnessed the power of the strange newborn fungus spreading through the Helmlands. The foundations quaked and the walls cracked, and Izereth in her terrible wrath emerged. Ursula was brought low and carried off. Her faithful bodyguard June gave chase. Neither we seen again. As night falls over the cursed sands an exodus could be witnessed... A swarthy blue eyed man, a willowy elf garbed in white, and the witch herself, alongside a contingent of beholders and undead, leave the outpost and descend into the cavernous depths below the Helmlands.

      Earthquakes follow not long after.

      Adventurers stir, rallying from their losses and laying in wait near the outpost, only to feel the ground shift beneath their feet, and the cavernous thrum of a leviathan cry, invoking that of a newborn.

      Rising from the yawning maw of the helmlands was a massive mummified skull, face sunken and covered in holes, horrible to behold and yet so beautiful. It's multicolored mane though faded left an impression on all who bore witness. It rose higher and higher, disappearing into the night sky.

      The petulent cries of the many eyed masses began to infect the Helmlands with their anguish, and they laid waste on the adventurers gathered until finally pushed back.

      They died with one thought on their lips.

      Mother is back. Mother has abandoned us.

      I had visions, I was in them;
      I was looking into the mirror,
      to see a little bit clearer,
      the rottenness and evil in me.
