Redwood dyed with blood

The grass in the forests seem to have a darker, reddish hue. A scent of iron in the air. The beasts and creatures a little more stirred. Rumors of panthers, of cougars, and other feline animals hunting within the woods. A mark of a bloody paw upon the trees lining the border of the Redwoods... the red in Redwoods seeming more apt than ever.
