Jilted Witches, Curses, and flames

A fire was seen raging in the Historic district recently, put out by the local blacksmith and several nearby adventurers.

The talk is, it was set by a witch, trying to burn her lover in his home after he left her for another woman.
The other talk is the adventurers, obviously, set fire to the building thinking there was a necromancer inside.

Some others say there were two witches, the one doing the burning was but an apprentice, and the real brains behind it arrived later, in silken red finery, a chilling touch, and eyes that could melt a mans heart in an instant. She took her apprentice away swiftly, paying for silence, of course.

All that's really clear is there was a fire, and a woman was taken away...
