Unique cleric medium armor

So is there an upside to a cleric NOT taking heavy armor feat? the answer is not really aside you get more carry wieght. There is NO mechanical reason a cleric shouldn't take heavy armor. Sure it delays the build a little abit but thats all.

Right now there is no incentive not to take heavy armor so why not make unique clerical medium armor at certain temples and churches?
