Red mist in the morning..

After hours of battles and endless hunting, the White Horde had subsided from the Moonsea Ride. The walls of Arabel armed to the teeth, the mercenaries nervously waiting should the Horde appear near the city. Eventually, adventurers and hunters alike headed back, tired and worn from the recent hunt. Just as they were just to reach the walls of Arabel, a striking light blinded them all. Rising from the Helmlands was a red mushroom cloud of sinister nature, dread filling every living being as they witnessed the immense power that had been released. Little is clear of what happened.. or how, but the Tower has reported that all staff located at the Helmlands research facilities were found dead.
Since the dreaded red mist appeared, most people of genasi heritage have reported strange headaches..
