The elf known as Reibreth, or Bear, has proven himself a fine addition to the Guard. He comes with my recommendation on the basis of our desperate need for more in the ranks, as well as the list to follow:

With his presence we will strengthen our ties with the Elven Embassy, which I desire personally as well as does benefit our number.

On our first outing he proved valiant in the face of combat against a sect of occult Kobolds, worshipping and guarding a giant Earth Drake who stood as large as a house. He did not relent by my reckoning though we did stand likely outmatched by their number.

He aided me in quelling an uprising of Goblin Necromancer's in the sewers of Arabel, and holds the staff as proof of his deed in landing the killing blow against their vile chief.

In the Redwood, together, we thwarted a plan of some new menace, something called a Black Bone, to pour what I suspect to be tainted blood into the river that feeds into the city's water supply. The Black Bone itself is the machination of some greater power, I divined, as it was summoned away in magical shadows. This was not Reibreth's first encounter with the creature. We both hold samples of the blood to be used for the fouling. He works currently to study the sample, with a third party or a member of the Elven Embassy to which he belongs. I carry a sample as well should we have the means in house to ascertain what its purpose may be.

In the field I would be more stringent in such a recommendation but with Jastyne at the boundary and our affairs yet aimless, though with enemy factions at seemingly every front, I need this elf in our proper regalia to act alongside me. I will put my honor on the line for the duration of his tenure in our Guard. As Jastyne said, we must be allies in battle, and friends aside. Of all the city thusfar, he is my closest compatriot and shares many values.

In closing, I wish him to carry the rank of Fang alongside me for these reasons. Please do not delay in response.

dueled in the streets over loot (both sides consented to the duel)
Francis tried to fine them, they refused to pay
ended up fighting francis even though greatly out-classed and outbuffed (francis was fully buffed when the fight started)
Lost to Francis but had Jastyne congratulate Rei on the fight and gave him coin to buy the first round of booze to celebrate
