Fishermen along the Aunkenspear were surprised to find their fishing equipment in complete disarray and covered in blood. The frightened pair followed the blood trail to a clearing which revealed the corpse of House Vaylan's Eldira. She had been dead for what seemed to be hours, covered in vicious cuts and a single stab wound in the chest. A crimson "M" had been carved into her forehead.
Her body was delivered to the Mortuary not long after.
