Participated in the coastal raid with the great losses amongst lizardfolk and fishfolk, and helped to bring down a hydra for which got praise from the Jastyne personally;
Spied on and witnessed Tower infernalistic activities in the Redwood with the great personal risk, and investigated it further by observing a conflict between Grell against Claus and Henry, and reported this fact to the higher ranks;
Can cook.

He is from the clan of runeseekers. His goal is to discover and advance runic knowledge, including learning about giant runes and less known but still existing gnomish, elven and primal(shamanic) runes. Especially now when gods when silent and can't grant new runic knowledge to runepriests, making arcane research of the runes more important than ever. He joined mercenaries simply because as militaristic mind he is sure that he can effectively raise in ranks to the officer status, and then use recourses and reputation gained for his research, in return offering his knowledge of dwarven tactic, magic and runic magic to greatly enhance Crimson Guard capabilities.

Sure, why not. Would need to decide stats for a mage in the Crimson though.

Could make them more appealing than Tower for mages with ethics.
