Character name "Ikaros"

(Character Name) is a tiefling ranger who was abandoned in disgust by his parents upon birth. He was rescued from the gutter only for an enterprising merchant to cut off his tail and sell it to a mage for an experiment. The church of Mystra, upon seeing him become abandoned for a second time, took pity and decided to raise him.

(Character Name) was raised by a militant and strict group of Mystran clerics who constantly reminded him of the inherent corruption and taint from his infernal heritage. Consequently, he loathes being a tiefling and even requested the clerics' help in sawing off his own horns coming of age.

Physically, the only remaining hints of his devlish ancestor (aside from the stumps where his horns and tail used to be) are his unnaturally pale skin, red eye, and red hair, and ashen scent.

Fueled both by a deep rooted self loathing and preference for being outdoors (away from prying eyes of people) (character Name) took to his ranger training with enthusiasm and now uses it to hunt renegade mages, other tieflings, and even denizens of the lower planes.
